Yes. Every adult who will live in the flat needs a right-to-rent check: passport and eVisa share code. Have them ready before viewings, not after.
Does my partner's income count towards the rent?
Once a job offer is in writing, most agents count it in the household income. Before that, the affordability rule runs on your salary alone, or a guarantor covers the gap.
Should I wait for a school place before choosing a flat?
No. Most agents will not hold a flat for a school decision. Choose the area first and apply for schools with the signed tenancy agreement as proof of address.
